Fraud Protection Settings

Choose which fraud risk bands auto-tag customers and reservations after Stripe payment scoring — so your team spots risk before check-in.

Open the sidebar, click Settings, then Fraud protection.


How fraud scoring works

After a successful Stripe payment, TablelistPro reads the charge's fraud risk score and maps it to one of three bands:

Scores update when Stripe sends charge, review, or early fraud warning events. The score and band appear on customer profiles and reservations when assigned.


Fraud tags

The Fraud tags table has three columns: Tag, Customer, and Reservations. Use the checkboxes to choose which bands auto-apply tags.

Customer — When checked, TablelistPro applies the matching fraud tag to the customer profile after a scored payment. The tag replaces any previous fraud band tag on that customer; other tags stay in place. The Fraud Risk Score and band also appear on the customer profile and in the CRM list.

Reservations — When checked, TablelistPro applies the matching fraud tag to the linked reservation (admission group) after a scored payment. The reservation keeps the first fraud score it receives — later payment events do not overwrite an existing reservation score.

Fraud tags are system tags. Staff cannot remove them manually while auto-tagging is enabled for that band.

Click Save when you've made changes.


Block risky orders

Coming soon — TablelistPro will let you block or flag orders by fraud band (for example, manual review for medium risk and block for high risk). Use Request this feature on the settings page to tell us what you need.

This does not affect checkout today — auto-tagging is the active fraud protection workflow.


FAQ

Do I need Stripe connected?
Yes. Fraud scores come from Stripe Radar on successful charges through your connected Stripe account.

Will low-risk guests always get tagged?
Only if you turn on auto-tagging for Fraud - Low in the Customer or Reservations column. Medium and high bands are on by default.

Can staff remove a fraud tag?
Fraud system tags are machine-managed. Turn off auto-tagging for that band if you don't want new tags applied. Existing tags may remain until the customer's risk band changes on a later scored payment.

Where do I see fraud scores?
Open a customer in Customers for Fraud Risk on the profile, or use the Fraud Risk Score column in the CRM list. Reservation tags show on bookings in Reservations and Admissions.
